Upgrading an existing appliance from MOS 3 to MOS 4 requires a full System Recovery installation of MOS 4; all pre-existing data on the target appliance is lost. Therefore, data migration is a required part of the upgrade process:
- To migrate from a 5-Series appliance to a 6-Series appliance, see the Mirapoint Administrator's Migration Guide for MOS 3.x to 4.x.
- To migrate an M500, M5000s, or RG500 to run MOS 4.x itself, contact your Mirapoint representative.
